Soft light, clever storage and a flexible layout give this fully renovated 57 m² apartment in Amsterdam an open and airy feel. The entire apartment was reconfigured and brought up to date.

Originally divided into three small, disconnected rooms, the layout was opened up as much as possible to let natural light flow in throughout the day, while still allowing for privacy when needed.

A custom-made closet with built-in sliding doors became the main element of the design. Open, the doors disappear into the wall, making the apartment feel like one big open space. Closed, they act as light dividers between the living and sleeping areas, creating a quiet, private retreat.

The result is a home that feels open, light and easy to live in.
