Full renovation with roof extension of a 58 sqm apartment in De Pijp
When starting the design of this small two storey apartment renovation, the main goal was to create downstairs a large and well equipped kitchen that would be big enough to extensively cook for friends and family, while keeping the living area open, light and specious.
By creating a roof extension upstairs, there is finally space for a long desired bathtub, with a beautiful skylight to look at the stars while taking a bath before sleep. The colour tones are reminiscent of the kitchen downstairs, making the bathroom a pleasant place to be with its light atmosphere and earthy terracotta accents
Finally the bedroom is the sanctuary, with its high ceilings and woody look. The custom made wardrobe with its sliding doors in oak frames and rice paper are a tribute to Japanese design
